Thank you for accepting the Traditional Owners’ statement of opposition and that 90% of submissions were opposed to the Dunoon Dam. Thank you for authorising the General Manager to cease all work on the Dunoon Dam and revoke zoning entitlements and the disposal of land.
You have said Yes to keeping koalas and platypus alive. Yes to preserving endangered rainforest communities. Above all, Yes to Aboriginal people.

To get a smart water system, we need to increase knowledge across the community. Rous County Council has ignored new technologies. Because they are not up-to-date, we have to do the work to increase water literacy. In our communities, we need to shift the conversation beyond ‘dam thinking’.
